Amoret Floyd Obituary

Amoret Rogers Floyd, born March 24, 1939 in Fair Bluff, NC., died on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at her home in Broomfield, CO.

She was the daughter of the late J.C. Rogers and the late Pauline Rogers and the widow of the late Vic Floyd.

Amoret is survived by her children: Matt Floyd (Marian) of Broomfield, CO. and Russ Floyd (Sharon) of Longmont, CO. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Taylor Floyd (Lauren), Abby Floyd Daniels (Alex), Logan Floyd (Allison), Parker Floyd (Stefany), Justin Floyd (Emma), and five great-grand children.

She loved her home state of North Carolina and also enjoyed living and traveling in other states as a military spouse. Amoret loved watching football, reading books, and weekend get-aways in the Virginia mountains. She will always be remembered for her smile, teasing wit, and southern charm.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2023 in the Fair Bluff Baptist Church at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in honor of Amoret be made to Fair Bluff Baptist Church, 1205 Main St, Fair Bluff, NC 28439.
