Alfred Albert "Pete" Bass, Jr. 66 of Clarkton died Friday. Mr. Bass was born in Robeson County NC, the son of the late Alfred Albert & Mattie Jacobs Bass and had worked in construction until his retirement. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Tuesday at Clarkton First Baptist Church, Rev. Tim Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in the Clarkton City Cemetery, Clarkton NC. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Deborah Hardgraves Bass of the home 2 step sons; Robert Bass, Jr of Dublin and Randy Evans of Spring Texas; 3 step daughters, Brenda Evans of Pearl River LA, Dawnita Evans of Bladenboro and Rhonda Evans ; 2 sisters, Mattie Nobles of Fair Bluff and Doretha Edwards of Longs SC; 10 Grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 PM Monday at the funeral home.
