Alice G. “Judy” Hammond, 69 of the Spring Branch Community died Sunday August 18, 2013.

Mrs. Hammond was born in Mullins SC, a daughter of the late Emory and Bertie Edwards Hammond. She was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church where she taught the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and was active in the choir for many years. Mrs. Hammond retired from the Columbus County Board of Education.

Funeral services will be held at 11 Am Wednesday August 21, 2013 at Spring Branch Baptist Church, burial will follow in the Hammond Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, William Hammond of the home; children, Scott Hammond, Todd Hammond and Tracey Hammond; a brother, Will “Jerry” Hammond (Mary) of the Spring Branch Community; a sister, Ronnie “Bud” Daniels (Randy Duncan) of Whiteville;  7 grandchildren and 5 nieces and nephews, John, Matthew, Mindy, Dorellis and Susie.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
