Anderson Hammond,87 of Nichols died Friday October 28, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Hammond was born in Horry County, the son of the late H. French and Alma Anderson Hammond. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Robin Dean Hammond. The family will receive friends Sunday October 30, 2011 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at Spring Branch Baptist Church, with funeral services to follow. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Lois Turbeville Hammond of the home; a son, Gene Anderson Hammond and his wife Phyliss of Nichols; a sister, Elise H. Caughman of Nichols; 3 grandchildren, James Hammond and his wife Jennifer of Nichols, William Dean Hammond of Nichols, Tori Lynne Hammond of Nichols and 2 great grandchildren, Peyton Anderson Hammond and Jana D.
