Anita Dare Strickland Edwards, 62 of Fair Bluff died Sunday August 17, 2008 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Mrs. Edwards was the daughter of the late Darewood and Mary Evelle Worley Strickland. She was a retired teacher having last taught at the Marion County Vocational Education Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Franklin Edwards and a son Anthony Charles Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Friday August 22, 2008 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Dr. Ray Lundy will officiate. Burial will follow in the Edwards Family Cemetery. Surviving are 2 sons, Aaron Franklin Edwards of Cerro Gordo and Wingate Anthony Edwards of Leland; A sister, Kathy Strickland Baker of Fair Bluff ; a brother, Woody Dean Strickland of Green Sea SC and 2 grandchildren, Charles Foley Edwards and Katherine Corinn Edwards.
