Bettie Holland Renfrow, 88 of Fair Bluff died Wednesday, January 28 2009 at Liberty Commons of Whiteville. Miss Renfrow was born in Fair Bluff to the late William Clyde and Nannie Powell Renfrow. She attended Mars Hill College and graduated from Applachian State Teachers College ( Applachian State University). She was a retired educator, having taught in the South Carolina Public Schools. Funeral services will be held at 2 Pm Saturday January 31, 2009 at Meares Funeral Home, Dr. Ray Lundy will officiate. Burial will follow in the Powell Cemetery. Surviving are 5 nieces and nephews: Patricia R. Turner of Falls Church VA., William C. Renfrow,II of Cartersville GA., James M. "Jimmy" Renfrow of Fair Bluff; Nancy E. Renfrow of Wrightsville Beach and Raymond R. Renfrow, Jr. of Gadsden AL. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
