Betty Lou Anderson, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. A.M. Anderson of Fair Bluff died on April 5, 2009 in Columbia, SC. She was born on August 26, 1921 in Causey, SC. She graduated from Meredith College, summa cum laude, with a double major in history and mathematics, She taught school in Hallsboro for 2 years, and then became a computer clerk at Langley Field, VA, before moving to New York City and working in the publishing business. She spent hours perfecting each project that crossed her desk, not being satisfied with less than the best, and became one of the best art directors at Random House, Inc. At the end of her working career, she retired in Charleston, SC. In her later years, she lived at the Lowman Home in White Rock, SC. She will be buried in the Anderson family plot in Fair Bluff.
