Betty Rose Smith Ramirez, 54 of Cerro Gordo died Monday April 28, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Ramirez was born March 29, 1960 in Columbus County, she was a member of Cerro Grodo Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday April 30, 2014 at Cerro Gordo Baptist Church, Rev. George Strickland will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hammond Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Ramirez is survived by her husband, Jose M. Ramirez of the home; 2 daughters, Ashley Ramirez and Kayla Ramirez both of the home; 2 sons, Shane Blackwell and Timothy Blackwell both of Mascot TN; 2 sisters, Ginny Nance of Shelby and Crystal Greene of Cerro Gordo; 2 brothers, Dennis Smith of Fair Bluff and Curtis Smith of Cerro Gordo and a special friend Joseph Hill.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening April 29, 2014 from 7 until 9 PM at the funeral home
