Betty Mae Miller Tedder passed away August 22, 2015, to join her mother, Lucille Miller and father, Sherwood Miller. She spent over 30 years in service to the people of Columbus County; working as an RN and then Family Nurse Practitioner in Columbus County and one of the first in NC and the US. Not a day passed that she did not consider the well-being and care of another - friend, family, or patient.

She is survived by her only son, Julius Matthew Tedder of Raleigh, her ever loving sisters, Sally Powers, Susan Nance, Nancy Weatherford, and brother, Richard Miller, and a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and a countless number of lives saved and healed.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 2 until 3 PM at Meares Funeral Home, Fair Bluff. Funeral services will held following the visitation at 3 PM, at the funeral home, burial will be in the Meares Cemetery.
