Blanche Ward Cole, 94 of the Spring Branch community died Friday July 8, 2011 at Marion County Medical Center. Mrs. Cole was born October 10, 1916 in Columbus County NC. She was a daughter of the late Luther and Hattie Grainger Ward. In addition to her parents Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Cole was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church from which funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday July 10, 2011, Rev. Jonathan Barbee will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are her husband, Raymond W. Cole of the home; a son, Thomas Ray Cole and his wife Judy of Aiken; a daughter, Judy Cole Rowell and her husband Kenny of Nichols; 5 grandchildren, Ronnie Cole and his wife Cindy of Raleigh NC, Michael Cole and his wife Shirley of Beach Island, Tammye C. Trapp and her husband Dru of North Augusta, Michelle R. Garner and her husband Junior of Nichols, Kevin Rowell of Nichols; a brother, Joe Ward of Gastonia NC; 2 sisters, Eula Mae Fair of Whiteville NC, Lura Gaskins of Hope Mills NC; 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The family will receive friends Saturday July 9, 2011 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home and Sunday July 10, 2011 from 2 until 3 PM in the fellowship hall of the church.
