Bobby D. Hewitt, 68 of Tabor City died Tuesday November 30, 2010 at Waterbrook Assisted Living. Mr. Hewitt was born May 4, 1942 in Columbus County, NC, a son of the late Napolean and Lula Pridgen Hewitt. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Kay Carteret,and Ann Nance; 3 brothers, Larry Hewitt, Elliott Hewitt and Jimmy Hewitt. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday December 4, 2010 at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff NC, Rev. Jackie Strickland will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Nichols SC. Mr. Hewitt is survived by 2 sisters, Leona Ward of Hallsboro NC, Betty Bullock of Sumter SC; a brother, Wade Hewitt of Chadbourn NC ; 15 nieces and 13 nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Friday, December 3, 2010 at the funeral home.
