Cheffo Jolly, 85 of the Mt. Olive community died Wednesday, November 28 2012 at his home.

Mr. Jolly was born April 13, 1927 a son of the late, James Hughie and Luna Stephens Jollie. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and a retired farmer. In addition to his parents Mr. Jolly was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Clifton Jollie and James David “J.D.” Jollie (Georgia); 2 sisters, Mary Beatrice “Bea” Jollie Trimnal and Robena “Robbie” Jolly Rogers (Warren) and a son Cheffo Jolly, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Mount Olive Baptist Church, burial will follow in the Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Frances L. Jolly of the home; a son, Stephen Mark Jolly and his wife Kathy Coleman Jolly of Nichols; his daughter, Karen Elaine Jolly Grainger and her husband Donald Grainger of Tabor City; Granddaughter, Kira Leann Cole Godwin and her husband Jeff Godwin of Tabor City; Grandson, Timothy Mark Jolly of Nichols; Great Grandson, Jacob Aaron Godwin; a brother, Leo Jolly of Camden and many special nieces and nephews.
