Clyde Nobles, Jr. 61 of Fair Bluff died Tuesday December 6, 2016 Heartland Hospice in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Funeral services will be held 3pm Saturday December 10, 2016 at Porter Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Powell Cemetery.

Mr. Nobles was born March 31, 1955 in Whiteville. He graduated from West Columbus High School and Southeastern Community College with an associate degree in Criminal Justice. Mr. Nobles retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections. He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Nobles, Sr. and a granddaughter Savannah Nobles.

Survived by his wife Mattie Bass Nobles, a son: Pete Nobles of Fair Bluff, a daughter: Billie Jean Nobles of Hendersonville, his mother: Mary Hilbourn Nobles of Hendersonville, a brother: Ted Nobles, Sr. of Benton City, WA.  He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Chloe, Magen, and Capers.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 prior to the service.
