Daphne Pridgen Wilson, 72 of Cerro Gordo died Tuesday July 31, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Wilson was born in Columbus County the daughter of the late Johnnie Woodrow and Emmer Wilson Pridgen. She was a former insurance agent and just recently retired from Columbus Eye Associates. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Porter Swamp Baptist Church Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Friday August 3, 2012 at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff. Burial will follow in the Porter Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are her daughter, Susan M. Wilson of the home; a brother, John Paul "Jerry" Pridgen of Lake View, SC; 2 sisters, Brenda Joyce Sealey of Lumberton, Wooddean Tyler of Cerro Gordo; 8 nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday August 2, 2012 from 7 until 9 PM at the funeral home.
