David Richard (Dickie) Memory , Sr. of Fair Bluff passed away Sunday September 25th 2011 surrounded by all those who loved him deeply . Dickie was born on the October 4th, 1937 and for the past few years has struggled with Alzheimer's disease. Over his life he has touched lives and his presence in our lives has been a gift we will always be thankful for. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother Joseph Alex Memory II and Wynette Thaggard Memory of Whiteville, NC, and brothers Harold and Jerry Memory. Funeral services will be held at Hinsons Crossroads Baptist Church on Wednesday September 28, 2011 at 3 p.m., burial will follow in the Powell Cemetery. Dickie is survived by his loving wife Gayle Campbell Memory of the home; his three sons David Memory of Fair Bluff, Craig Memory of Myrtle Beach SC, Joe Memory of Ocean Isle Beach, and an adopted daughter Wanda White of Bath; his daughter in-laws Grey Memory and Angel Memory; his brothers Mr. & Mrs. Joe Memory of Athens GA., Mr. and Mrs Mitchell Memory of Wilmington; his sisters Ms. Faith Jones, and Ms. Anne Allen both of Wilmington, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Emery of Tatamy, PA; his brother and sister inlaws , Mr. and Mrs. L.G. Lawson of Fair Bluff and Ms. Jean Lovette of Spring Branch, SC; Six Grandchildren, Tanner Memory, Alexandria Memory, Alex Memory, Mial Memory, Tawny Memory, Reise Memory and a Great Grandson, Greyson Memory; 13 nieces and nephews The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday September 27, 2011 at the funeral home. The family ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville NC 28472 or Hinson Crossroads Baptist Church, 1521 Hinsons Crossroads , Fair Bluff, NC 28472
