Donnie Ray "Pee Wee" Edwards, 63 of Leland died Wednesday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Mr. Edwards was born in Robeson County to the late Raymond and Edith Lovett Edwards. He was preceded in death by a son Mark Anthony Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 2 Pm Saturday at Meares Funeral Home, Rev. Elmore Strickland will officiate. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery. Surviving are his son, Gregory Edwards of Whiteville: a brother Roger Edwards of Fair Bluff; a close friend, Carolyn Dudley and his former wife, Gloria Ann Edwards. The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 PM Friday at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff.
