Doris C. Hammond, 89 of the Spring Branch Community died Wednesday October 29, 2014 at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville, NC.

 Mrs. Hammond was born in Horry County a daughter of the late Ben and Lydia Mincey Causey. As long as her health permitted, she was an active member of Spring Branch Baptist Church, the WMU and the South Carolina Grange. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her husband, Rogers L. Hammond.

 The family will receive friends at Spring Branch Baptist Church, Saturday November1, 2014 from 2:00 until 3:00 PM. Funeral services will follow beginning at 3:00PM, Dr. Floyd Enzor and Rev. Mike Vipperman will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 Surviving are her sons, Jimmy Ray Hammond and his wife Doris, Danny Kay Hammond and his wife Bernice, and Roger Dale Hammond and his wife Becki, all of Nichols; 2 sisters, Miriam Rowell and Bernice Floyd both of Nichols; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
