Elsie R Floyd

Mrs. Elsie R. Floyd, age 90 of Orrum, NC, died Saturday, June 28, 2025 in the Angel Hospice House in Whiteville, NC, after an extended illness. Born November 6,1934 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Curties Campbell and the late Carrie Small Campbell. Elsie is the widow of the late G.R. Floyd. She is also predeceased by a daughter; Sabrina Shirley; brother Richard Campbell, and a sister Earlene Nobles.

Elsie is survived by sons; James (Lottie) Floyd of Fairmont, NC; John (Shelia) Floyd of Orrum, NC, and daughter; Gwenlyn (Charlie) Harvey of Ransomville, NY. She is also survived by her grand children and great-grand children.

A time of visitation will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 10 AM in the Meares & Jones Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral service will start at 11 AM in the Chapel.

A private burial will proceed the service.
