Elwee (Malcolm) Ellis

Mrs. Elwee Ellis, age 82, of Fair Bluff NC, died Saturday, June 25, 2022 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. She was born October 15, 1939 in Robeson County, NC, a daughter of the late Willie Bonnie Malcolm and Rettie (Barnes) Malcolm.

Elwee is survived by her husband, Wilton Ellis and three children; Jeffery Ellis of Lumberton, NC; daughters, Carolyn Worthington of Cerro Gordo, NC; and Lisa (Andy) Turner of Fair Bluff, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren; Stephaine Jo, Matt, Jared, Benjamin, Shane, and Julia. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren; Kaylee, Mia, McKie, Camden, Vivian, and Presley Lynn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Malcolm, Billy Malcolm, Jean Britt, and Nelda Rose Britt. Elwee was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer.

Elwee was a devoted loving wife and Mother. She thought her grandchildren hung the moon and the stars. She loved her Lord and Savior and filled many positions in her church for many years. She was a deacons wife, Sunday school teacher and was especially fond of teaching vacation Bible school.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 6PM-8PM in the Meares & Jones Funeral Service, Fair Bluff, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Hinson Crossroads Baptist Church in Fair Bluff, with burial to follow in Meares Cemetery.
