Furney B. “F.B.” Strickland, 71 of Nichols died Monday, October 20, 2014 at his residence.

 Mr. Strickland was a son of the late Bob and Mollie Strickland. He was a farmer and nurseryman.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Rev. Josh Phillips    will officiate, and burial will follow in the Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Surviving are his wife, Gwendolyn E. Strickland of the home; two daughters, Debbie Walker of Lake Waccamaw, Angie Shelley (Mark) of Mollie; two brothers, Rev. Elmore Strickland and Danny Strickland both of Cerro Gordo; one sister, Nellie Mae Richardson of Tabor City, and 4 grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends Tuesday October 21, 2014 from 7:00  until 9:00 PM  at the funeral home.
