H.L. Turbeville, 75 of Fair Bluff died Thursday June 30, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Mr. Turbeville was a son of the late Ferd & Minnie Waddell Turbeville. He was a member of Fair Bluff Church of God. H.L. was employed by Frank Horne Construction of Fair Bluff and had worked part-time with Meares Funeral Home for many years. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday July 3, 2011 at the Fair Bluff Church of God, Dr. Ray Lundy and Rev. Charles Dudley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Powell Cemetery. Mr. Turbeville is survived by his wife, Katie Dudney Turbeville of the home; 3 sons, Kevin Turbeville, Kenny Turbeville and Keith Turbeville all of Fair Bluff; 1 daughter, Dena T. Green of Fair Bluff; 4 sisters, Rowdy Dudney of Salisbury, Kathleen Dudney of Fair Bluff, Azelea Redwine of Mint Hill and Pearline Coleman of Salisbury; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Moore and her husband Bud, Kayla Green, Jarrett Green, Maurice Turbeville, Bryan Turbeville, Dylon Turbeville, Dawson Turbeville and Brent Causey; 1 great grandson, Drake Moore. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Saturday July 3, 2011 at the funeral home.
