Hilda Hammond Nance, 73 of Fair Bluff died Wednesday September 21, 2011 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. Mrs. Nance was born in Thomasville, a daughter of the late Joseph Clarence and Lottie Pittman Hammond. She was preceded in death by a brother, Archie Hammond and a sister, Margaret Harrell. Graveside services will be conducted 2 PM Friday September 23, 2011 at the Nance Family Cemetery . Surviving are 2 daughters, Sherrie Brock of Smithfield and Melissa Benson of Clayton; 2 sons, Billy Nance of Rock Springs, WY and Tony Nance of Evergreen; 2 brothers, Joseph Clarence Hammond, Jr and Clayton Hammond; 5 sisters, Mary Elizabeth Floyd, Sadie Walters, Barbara Perry, Carolyn Furman, and Debbie Scott; 9 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday September 22, 2011 from 7 until 9 PM at the funeral home.
