J.D. Horne, 74 of Fair Bluff died Thursday October 23 at his residence. J.D. was born in Robeson County NC, a son of the late James Madison and Hallie Hardin Horne. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Ralph Horne, Grady Horne, Jim Horne and Ray Horne: his sisters Mildred Lawrence and Flossie McWhorter and his wife Janice Flowers Horne. Graveside services will be held at 3 Pm Sunday, October 26 at the Hardin Cemetery in Orrum, Pastor Donnie West will officiate. Surviving are his daughter, Susan Horne Norris and her husband Sharon Devon, of Clarkton, 2 brothers, Gene Horne of Orrum , and Frank Horne of Fair Bluff; 2 grandchildren, Shana Lynn Horne and Janicka Rayeanne Buchanan and her husband Andy; 3 great grandchildren, Christopher Bailey Horne-Coleman, Michael Alexander Buchanan and William Nicholas Buchanan. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jimmy Horne, Jerry Horne, Bobby Horne, Scott Horne, Kenneth Horne and Wayne Horne. The family will receive friends from 7- 9 PM Saturday at the funeral home Memorials may be made to Native Angels Hospice 201 East Livermore Drive Pembroke NC 28372
