James Eugene "Bo" Godwin, 68 of Fair Bluff died Thursday December 9, 2010 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Whiteville. Mr. Godwin was born in Columbus County the son of the late James Devon and Lillie Fowler Godwin. He was a self employed carpenter, A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Sunday December 12, 2010 at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff. "Bo" is survived by his children, Kimberley Godwin-Nguyen of Texas, Jody Denean Godwin, Cassie Eugenia Godwin, Jamie Samuel Godwin and Anthony Kevin Godwin all of Tabor City; a sister, Minnie Marie Selllers of Williams Township; a special friend, Louise Enzor of Fair Bluff; 10 grandchildren, Brittany Rogers, Jessica Wright, Stacy Graver, Cody Godwin, Nicole Wright, Blake Strickland, Alexis Godwin, Victoria Godwin, Jamie Lynn Godwin, McKinley Godwin; 4 great grandchildren, Channing Graver, Brianna Henninger, Ashton Henninger, Raiden Rowe; and his former wife, Edith Godwin Blackwell of Tabor City. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Funeral Home.
