James “Butch” Shepherd

Mr. James “Butch” Shepherd, 75, died Monday, April 17, 2023 in Columbus Regional Medical Center. He was born the son of the late Thelma Bullock Shepherd.

He is survived by wife: Cheryl Shepherd of Fair Bluff, NC; son, James Jai Shepherd (Calista) of Chadbourn, NC; step-sons, Ronald and Derrick Elliott, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be members of the North Carolina Department Of Corrections Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 in the Meares & Jones Funeral Service from 6PM-8PM.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday, April 21, 2023 in the Meares & Jones Funeral Service Chapel in Fair Bluff, NC, with burial with honors to follow in the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
