Mr. Jimmy H. Turner, 77, of Fair Bluff, NC died Tuesday evening, April 27, 2021, in the Angel Hospice House, Whiteville, NC.
He was born January 11, 1944 in Florence County, SC; a son of the late Harold Albright Turner and Connie Murden Turner.
Mr. Turner was a lifelong member of the Fair Bluff United Methodist Church. He was a Land Survey with Koonce-Noble some fifty years in Lumberton, a registered land surveyor in NC and SC since 1975. He had his own land surveying business, Drowning Creek Surveying.
Mr. Turner was also a National Guard veteran and an Eagle Scout.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Arthur “Buck” Turner.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Fossett Turner of the home; children, Annece Jordan (Scott) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Matthew Turner (Diane) of Fair Bluff, NC; a nephew, Andy Turner of Fair Bluff, NC, Ash-leigh Britt (Eddie) of Evergreen, NC; several grandchildren, Tiffany Britt of Texas, Karlie Hill of Whiteville, NC, Wesley Turner and Joshua Turner of Old Dock, NC, Konstanze Jordan of Murrells Inlet, SC, Payton Britt of Tabor City, NC, Stephanie Jordan of Murrells Inlet, SC, Emilee Britt of Evergree, NC; great-grandchildren, Kaison Lee Meares, Kyra Bromell, Elija Campbell, Addyson Turner, Jennah Turner, and Jace Britt.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 3PM with the Rev. Neill Smith to officiate in the Fair Bluff UMC, and the visitation to be from 2-3PM in the church sanctuary.
