Jimmy Leo Weathersby

Mr. Jimmy Leo Weathersby, 80, of Fair Bluff died Sunday, September 9, 2018, in the Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.

He was born in Leveland, Texas on July 25, 1938; a son of the late Clarence W. and Flora Jones Weathersby.

Mr. Weathersby was a retired boat builder with the Glastron Boat Company, Fair Bluff, NC for 25 plus years. He later worked with H. & B. Lumber Company.

He was a caring and compassionate person Mr. Weathersby enjoyed woodworking in his shop. He spent his last seven years at the Shoreland Healthcare & Retirement Center System in Whiteville.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Whited Weathersby of the home; the children, James Flowers (Stacey), Myrtle Beach, SC, Angie Jordan (Maury) Darlington, SC, and Darren Flowers, Fair Bluff; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 4pm in the Hopewell Cemetery in Fork, SC with the Re. Terry Green to officiate, under the direction of Meares Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends following the service.
