Joseph Hampton Lancaster, 74 of Lake Waccamaw died Thursday April 17, 2014 at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville.

Mr. Lancaster was born in Horry County, a son of the late Alfred E. and Mary Buffkin Lancaster. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Yvonne Shelley. Mr. Lancaster was a retired automobile dealer.

Graveside services will at held at 2 PM Saturday April 19, 2014 at Chery Grove Cemetery.

Surviving are a son; Jody Lancaster of Tabor City; 3 sisters, Wilhelmenia Suggs of Floyds, SC, Enid McFadden of Ellerbee and Frieda Harrellson of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM Saturday April 19 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church.
