Kathy Jo Strickland Howell

Mrs. Kathy Jo Strickland Howell, 72, of Fair Bluff, NC died Friday, February 12, 2021 in the McLeod Loris Hospital, in Loris, SC.

She was born in Columbus County, NC on October 10, 1948: a daughter of the late George David Strickland and Kathleen Britt Strickland.

Mrs. Howell was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Faye Strickland Jones.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Powell Cemetery with Rev. Phyllis Elvington officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the cemetery. Interment will follow services.

Surviving are a son and his wife, Christopher G. and Amy Howell, of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Beckham G. Howell and Shelby G. Howell, both of Raleigh.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Powell Cemetery Fund, c/o 1466 Causey Road, Fair Bluff, NC 28439.

Services are entrusted to Meares Funeral Home of Fair Bluff.
