Kay Rooks Obituary
Mrs. Kay C. Rooks, age 76, formerly of Whiteville, NC, died Friday, October 6, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Born January 24, 1947, in Nash County, NC she was the daughter of the late Daniel Coleman and Eva Ward Coleman. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased in death by her husband, Alfred (Red) Rooks, a grandson Luke Rooks, and sister Deann Edwards.
She is survived by two sons, Adam Rooks and partner Leanne of Cherry Grove Beach, SC, and Justin (Miranda) Rooks of North Myrtle Beach, SC. Also surviving is a grandson, Trent Rooks of North Myrtle Beach SC and a granddaughter, Brittany Rooks of Whiteville, NC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Whiteville, NC.
