Leroy K. "Lee" Williamson, Sr. 78 died Thursday November 27, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Bruton Williamson; four children: three daughters, Debra White of Florence, Marla Kunz and her husband Fred of Florence and Laura Burney and her husband Eddie of Cerro Gordo, NC, one son, Lee Williamson, Jr and his wife Ginger of Fayetteville GA; twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two brothers, Dick Williamson of Lumberton and Ed Williamson of Whiteville. Leroy was born in Cerro Gordo NC to the late Charles and Lillie McClelland Williamson. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and was the owner of Wren Pharmaceuticals. He was also co-owned, with his wife of the Florence Book Exchange. He always put his family first. Funeral services will include visitation at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff NC from 6 until 8 PM Friday November 28 and Memorial Services at the Mausoleum Chapel of Florence Memorial Gardens, 3 Pm Saturday November 29 , with the family receiving friends for one hour before the service.
