Mildred Louise Todd Collins, 83 of Cerro Gordo, departed this earth on Wednesday, August 20, at 8:13PM. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing. She was a resident of Liberty Commons Nursing facility.

 Mrs. Collins was predeceased by her husband JD Collins, of Cerro Gordo. She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Levi Marsden Todd (Mantha), of Chadbourn. She leaves behind one daughter, Donna Haynes (Rossie) of Fair Bluff. Mrs. Collins also leaves behind two sisters, Barbara Ann Todd Stonko (Edward), of Richmond, VA; Sylvia Marqueen Todd Butler (Charles),of Chadbourn; and a brother, Marsden Ray Todd (Inez), of Leland. She also has 2 grandchildren, Rossie Haynes, Jr. (Aimee), of Cerro Gordo; Mandy Haynes DuBose (Holden), of Clinton, NC. She has 3 great grandsons: Ross, Hinson & Jack; one great granddaughter, Emma.

 Mrs. Collins will be remembered for her love of friends & family, and her willingness to care for those in need. She was a Certified Nurse Assistant at Columbus Regional Medical Center, and enjoyed nothing more than helping others. She also was an in-home care giver in the surrounding area for numerous families. Mrs. Collins always was doing for others above herself.

She was a member of Porter Swamp Baptist Church, where when her health allowed, she was in attendance.

 Visitation will be held Friday morning at 10:00am, followed by the service at 11:00, at Porter Swamp Baptist Church. Burial in church cemetery.
