Nancy Kain, 65 entered into eternal peace on Thursday 27 February 2020 in Fair Bluff, NC.
Nancy was born on May 11, 1954, a daughter of the late LtCol Edward William Kain and Carolyn Wynell Tipper. She graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1972 and James Madison University in 1976 with an undergraduate and later a Master’s degree in Education. Nancy was devoted to helping others whether serving as an educator to special needs children or supporting Native Americans in Cherokee, NC and Taos, NM and Omaha, NB. Concurrently she attended the Seminary and became a Chaplain and served at Lehigh Valley, PA hospital in the crisis ward.
Nancy’s loved all God’s creatures especially her cat Cedar, dog Bear and ALL horses. As a child she snuck out to peddle her bike to the local horse farm and even in her last moments, she checked herself out of the safe environment of an assisted living facility and opted for the single room in a barn on a farm where she could see and hear horses all around her. Her last moments on this Earth were exactly as she wished.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; sisters, Ann Lusk, of Hardy, VA and Sue Kinney-Perkins of Centreville, VA; and her brother Jim Kain from Sterling, VA. She had many adoring nieces, and nephews that brought a smile to her as she heard of their many successes.
Nancy’s wishes are to be cremated. In lieu of any sad thoughts Nancy wishes you to help someone in need or enjoy the beauty of God’s creatures.
Weep Not For Me
Unknown Author
Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul’s sweet flight
I am at peace, my soul’s at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years
There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life
