Nina Kathrene Regan, 72 of Lake Waccamaw died Monday at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. Ms. Regan was born in Columbus County a daughter of the late Furman Edwin and Lila Mae Mercer Regan. She worked for the FBI in Washington DC and then worked as a records manager for NASA until her retirement. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Thursday October 22, 2009 at the Regan Cemetery, 5841 Braswell Rd., Cerro Gordo. Rev. Elmore Strickland will officiate. Surviving are her son, George Edward Regan of Cary; her daughter, Lori Kathryn Watts and husband Jay P Watts of Cerro Gordo; Two sisters, Amanda Bible Worley of Lake Waccamaw, Ruth Floyd of Hope Mills; a sister-in-law, Merle Regan of Chadbourn, four grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, John, and Anne; 3 great grandchildren, Tiffany, Joshua, and Nathan; and a special friend Brooks Norris.
