Orville "Vi" Floyd Cothran, 78 passed away June 30, 2010 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Whiteville after a lengthy illness. Ms. Cothran was born August 12, 1931 in Columbus County. She was the daughter of Edna and Frank Floyd who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her only brother Billy Franklin Floyd and a niece Joy Frazier. She is survived by two sisters, Jo Ellen Frazier and Louise Gorham both of Wilmington; several nieces, Carla Floyd of Cerro Gordo, Melody Rampulla of Ellenton Florida and three nephews, Travis "Chic" Floyd of Raleigh, Dumay Gorham III and Patrick Gorham both of Wilmington. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday July 7, 2010 at the Powell Cemetery in Fair Bluff.
