Peggy Duncan Grainger

Mrs. Peggy Grainger, age 88, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC after a brief illness.

She was born in Horry County on February 17,1936, to the late Arthur Duncan and the late Vennie Buffkin Duncan.

Peggy was a graduate of Green Sea High School, as well as Limestone College.

She loved to garden, especially her beautiful flowers which included Azaleas, red and white roses, and Camellias. She will be forever missed by all her family and friends.

She is survived by son Kevin Grainger of Charleston, SC; niece Penny Duncan of Nichols, SC; nephew Christopher Grainger(Cherol) of Fair Bluff, NC; and great-niece Victoria Williams of Conway, SC.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Wayne Grainger; and brother Guy Duncan.

A graveside service will be held in the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11AM.
