Perry A Hamilton

Perry A. Hamilton, devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on April 7, 2023, at the age of 61.

He was the beloved husband of Sharon Hamilton and a loving father to Whitney, Courtney, and Cody Hamilton. Perry cherished being a grandfather to Colton Hill, who brought him immense joy and pride.

Born on December 31, 1961, he was the son of the late J.L. Hamilton and the late Carolyn Hamilton. Perry is also predeceased by a sister; Ava Lynn Ward.

Also, surviving are siblings; Deidre(JR) Callahan of Fairmont, NC, and Rickie(Lisa) Hamilton of Tabor City, NC., and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Perry served his country with distinction, dedicating 27 years of his life to the North Carolina Guard, including two tours of duty in Iraq. He was a metal building erector specialist, contributing to numerous construction projects throughout his career.

Beyond his professional life, he was passionate about his hobbies. Perry enjoyed building and racing Super Late Model cars and spending time with his grandson, often riding the golf cart together. He was a member of Fair Bluff Baptist Church and valued his relationships with his community.

Perry will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to his family and country. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 10, 2023, in the Meares & Jones Funeral Service from 12:00 PM until 1:50 PM.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2023, at  2:00 PM in the Meares & Jones Funeral Service chapel with burial to follow in the Haynes Sealey Family Cemetery in Cerro Gordo, NC.
