Raymond Wilson Cole, 93 of the Spring Branch community died Thursday July 25, 2013 at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center.

Mr. Cole was born August 26, 1919 in Columbus County NC, a son of the late Thomas Raymond and Hattie Anderson Cole. Mr. Cole was a US Army veteran of WWII, electrician and farmer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Blanche Ward Cole, 2 sisters, Reba Cole Waddell and Myrtle Cole Walters and a brother, Wilbur W. Cole.

Mr. Cole was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church from which funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, July 28, 2013, Rev. Jonathan Barbee will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are, his son Thomas Ray Cole and wife Judy of Aiken; his daughter, Judy Cole Rowell and her husband Kenny of Nichols; a sister, Lucille Cole Tyler of Lake Wells, FL; his grandchildren, Ronnie Ray Cole and his wife Cindy, Raymond Michael Cole and his wife Shirley, Tammye Cole Trapp and her husband Dru, Michelle R. Garner and her husband Junior, William Kevin Rowell, Billy Meredith, Tammy Meredith, Ryan Trapp and Jeff Trapp; his great grandchildren, Kira C. Godwin and her husband Jeff, Logan M. Cole, Bradon A. Cole, Amber Hope Cox, a great great grandchild, Jacob Godwin; and 3 special nieces.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home and again Sunday from 2 until 3 PM at Spring Branch Baptist Church.
