Ms. Rhoda E. Elliott, 97 passed away January 17, 2013 in the Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, GA. Born in Causey, South Carolina on January 2, 1916, she was a member of Fair Bluff Baptist Church where she attended when her health permitted. In addition to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Strickland, Sr. she was preceded in death by one brother, George “Buddy” Strickland, Jr. and one sister-in-law, Kathleen “Kat” Strickland.

Final services were held at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff, NC on Saturday, January 19^th. Visitation was held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM with the funeral following at 3:00 PM. The burial followed the service at the Old Powell Cemetery, with Dr. Ray Lundy officiating. Funeral arrangements were handled by Colquitt Funeral Home in Colquitt, GA. and Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff, NC.

She is survived by one son, Howard G. Small, Jr. (Jean); one grandson, Jeffery D. Small; one granddaughter, Joanna S. Everson (Wade); and one great granddaughter, Kaley E. Givens all of Colquitt, GA.
