Ruth Hazel Connor, 89 of Fair Bluff died Monday at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville. Mrs. Connor was born in Latta SC a daughter of the late Jessie C. and Lula Mae Clark Christmas. Mrs. Connor was preceded in death by her husband Theo Connor. She was a member of Porter Swamp Baptist Church. Mrs. Connor was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a friend to everyone she met. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday April 28, 2011 at Porter Swamp Baptist Church, Rev. Tim Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are: 2 sons, Harry D. Connor and his wife Alice Rose of Fair Bluff; Ted Connor of Summerville, SC; 3 daughters, Patsy Connor Ketchum and her husband James of Little River SC, Rebecca Connor May and her husband James L. of Zephyr Hills FL, and Gayle Connor Strickland of Fair Bluff. 12 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren & 4 Great Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Wednesday April 27, 2011 at the funeral home.
