Ruth Cribbs Small, 80 of Fair Bluff died Saturday July 19, 2008 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach SC. Mrs. Small was born February 24, 1928 a daughter of the late Jeston and Nina Worley Cribbs. She is predeceased by one sister, Louise Cribbs Enzor. She was a Nurse Cadet during WWII and was retired from First Union Bank in Fair Bluff. She enjoyed bridge, golf, reading, traveling, birds, flowers and most of all, Friends. Mrs. Small was a member of Fair Bluff Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday July 22nd at Fair Bluff Baptist Church, Dr. Ray Lundy and Rev. Charles Hinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Powell Cemetery. Surviving are her husband Willard D. Small of the home; a son, David Small and his wife Sandra of North Myrtle Beach SC; a daughter, Jerri Vaughan of Lexington KY; granddaughters, Andrea Hollembaek and her husband Terry Altman of Myrtle Beach SC; Hampton Vaughan of Lexington KY; a grandson, Franklin Vaughan of Lexington KY and a great grand daughter, Megan Hollembaek; and a special aunt, Frankie Worley Strickland of Fair Bluff.
