Sammie K. Edwards

Mrs. Sammie K. Edwards, 73, of Tabor City, NC, died Tuesday October 16, 2018, in the New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.

She was born in Columbus County, NC, on July 2, 1945, a daughter of the late William Samuel and Willie Smith Williamson. A graveside service will be conducted at Powell Cemetery in Fair Bluff on Friday October 19, 2018 at 2 pm.

Surviving are a son, Jeffery Lynn Edwards, Tabor City, a daughter-in-law, Katrina Edwards, a sister, Willie Faye Malone, of Wilmington, NC.,3 grandchildren, Courtney Cole Scott, Savannah Edwards and Scarlett Edwards and a great grandson Ethan Cole Scott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Edwards, a son, Jody Edwards, and a daughter Teresa Edwards.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff.
