Sherwood Buffkin, 55 of Nichols died Wednesday June 6, 2012 at McLeod Loris Hospital. Mr. Buffkin was a US Air Force veteran having served in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his father William Eli Buffkin. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday June 8, 2012 at Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Jonathan Barbee will officiate. He is survived by a son, Matthew Buffkin of Conway; a daughter, Angela Buffkin of Conway; his mother, Mary Anderson Bufffkin of Nichols; and a sister, Jennie Stanton of Florence.
