Steven L Suggs

Mr. Steven Lawrence Suggs,69, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2022. He was born on September 17, 1952.

Steve is survived by his mother, Wilhelmenia Lancaster Suggs, and brother Darrell Dickson Suggs. He is also survived by his maternal aunt; Freida Harrellson (Bobby), maternal first cousins Victor Harrellson, Dean Harrellson, Jody Lancaster, Jane Buck (Ron), Greg McFayden (Shannon), and Deidre Graham (Sonnie). On his paternal side; first cousins Donald Stocks (Judy), Ronnie Stocks, Gloria Stocks, Cynthia Capps (Billy), Teresa Suggs, Denise (Meme) Suggs, and Larry Suggs.

Steve was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and was an avid Gamecock and Duke fan. He was a farmer and owned, as well as managed farms in both North and South Carolina.

This will be a closed casket service, but family and friends are encouraged to view Steve lying in state at Meares Funeral Home, Fair Bluff, NC, Tuesday February 1,2022, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

There will be a Graveside Service Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, NC at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are asked to join in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.

The family has requested that those attending, please follow Covid precautions. Masks will be provided.
