William Gerald Herring

Mr. William Gerald Herring, 66, of Whiteville, NC died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville.

He was born in Norfolk County, Virginia on December 5, 1951, a son of Simon Sutton Herring and the late Ramona Margaret Ellis Herring.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Meares Funeral Home Chapel in Fair Bluff, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service.

Surviving are a daughter, Amber H. Adelman (Nathan) of Jacksonville, NC; a sister, Jeanne H. Britt (Johnny) of Whiteville, NC; 2 grandchildren, Michael and Olivia; a sister-in-law, Becky Herring of Whiteville, NC; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, April Guthrie Herring and a brother, Ronald K. Herring.
