Retired USAF MSGT William S. Jollye, 87 of the Mt. Olive community died Tuesday February 28, 2012. Mr. Jollye was born in Horry County, a son of the late William P and Mattie Suggs Jolly. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert Jolly and John Jolly. Mr. Jollye was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Sunday School Director, Treasurer and Moderator. Mr. Jollye was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II and a retired US Air Force Veteran of Korea and Vietnam. " Now he is resting in peace". Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday March 1, 2012 at Mt Olive Baptist Church, Rev. Danny Barber, Rev. Wayne Revinsky and Rev. Russell Anderson will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Mr. Jollye is survived by his wife, Agnes Page Jollye of the home; a son, Steve Jollye of Nichols; a daughter, Susan Jollye Johnson and her husband Ivey of Florence; a sister, Ila Jolly Scott of Columbia; 3 grandchildren, James Johnson and his wife Natalie, Joseph Jollye and Amanda Johnson; 1 great granddaughter, Harper Johnson; several nieces and nephews and many beloved in-laws. The family will receive friends Wednesday Evening, February 29, 2012 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
